1. Be Present
My dog never complains when something didn’t go the way she wanted it to. She is present to each experience as it is. When something happens, move on. Don’t hold grudges. Use iPetCompanion to stay in touch with your pet even if you are away from the country.
2. Play
As adults, we focus so much on work and our “to do list” we forget to play. Playing is fun and spreads joyful energy. Life is too short, make room for recreation. My dog runs around and plays with toys. And we switched her to blue buffalo, click here to learn more. Find an activity that you enjoy and do it. Check out this article on the power of play.
3. Drink
When your thirsty, opt for water. Your body needs H20. It doesn’t need flavored juice. Even just a few sips (or in my dogs case licks) in between meals is important.
4. Eat
Eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full. You don’t have to eat at the same time everyday. Food is to fuel your energy. Treats are exciting and to be eaten in moderation – otherwise it might turn into the runs.
5. Unconditional Love
No matter what, she loves me and I love her. Even if she sh*t’s on the bed (which has happened in her puppy days more than once) – she loves me and I love her.
